27-28/7/2014 : Ipoh and Cameron Highlands Trips with Family! [Part 1]

Yes! This is a must during my semester break. Going somewhere with my beloved family. <3 My parents always spare their times to accompany us so that we can cherish our time being together. It was during the Hari Raya public holidays. Tons of news spreading that it would be having very serious traffic jam all the way to the North Malaysia. Most of my friends took more than 7 hours to reach Ipoh. My family and I were worried so I took the decision to leave Seremban as early as we could. Lastly, we left home at 4.30am. Lol. First time departing to somewhere at this hour of time.

Guess what?! My dad took only 3 hours to reach Ipoh. =.= We reached there at 7.30am! My god! All of the tourist destinations were not opened yet. We could only go for our breakfast. We went for the Restaurant Foh San, it was  famous by their dim sum here. But the scenery was so terrifying! Yeah! I was not being exaggerate. There was a lot of people there and all the tables were full even it has two floors and combined with approximately two shop-lots. We went upstairs to search for some empty seats. All tables were full and each table had customers waiting for it. Lol. It was not comfortable to have our meals there. We had to rush for the seats and food. We did not feel like enjoying there since once we sat down, there were other customers waiting for us to finish our food so that they could take the seats after we left. This was not good at all.

After our breakfast, We went to the Kellie's castle. There was some stories for this unfinished and ruined castle. I read the brochure about its history and explored the castle. It was indeed a great building if it could be able to finish the construction. One of the uniqueness of this castle was it had the first elevator within the whole Malaysia at that time.

Then, we went to Gua Tempurung. My dad's favourite place during the entire trip! Haha. We walked approximately 1200 steps of the staircases to reach the top. I was so exhausted after this. Tourists were jaw-dropped when they were looking around in Gua Tempurung because of its natural characteristics. Undeniable that my dad loves nature. Then, we went to Guan Yin Dong. Lots of Guan Yin statues there and my mum was amazed by them. Haha. Both of them found their favourite places. :D

Yummy food at Ipoh :

Dim Sum
老黄芽菜鸡

怡保沙河粉
I love it! The noodles are so smooth and the soup tasted awesome!

怡保炖蛋
This is delicious! The smooth texture makes it just like Tou Fu Fa.
